Job Description Job Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining financial accuracy and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of accounting practices. Responsibilities: • Oversee month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. • Manage and maintain general ledger accounts, ensuring all entries are properly recorded. • Prepare and post journal entries to support various financial transactions. • Conduct detailed account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolve issues. • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between company records and financial institutions. • Collaborate with other departments to gather relevant financial data for reporting purposes. • Analyze financial statements and provide insights to support business decisions. • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements. • Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and addressing inquiries. • Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes for efficiency. • Proven experience in accounting, including month-end close and general ledger management. • Strong knowledge of journal entries and account reconciliation processes. • Proficiency in performing bank reconciliations with attention to detail. • Familiarity with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. • Advanced proficiency in accounting software and tools. • Exceptional analytical skills and problem-solving abilities. • Excellent communication skills for collaborating across teams. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
