Job Description Job Description We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina. In this role, you will contribute significantly to our financial operations by managing accounting processes, analyzing financial trends, and collaborating with leadership to enhance decision-making. Responsibilities: • Manage month-end closing activities for assigned locations, including preparing reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and deferrals. • Compile financial statements and shop-level financial reports for leadership review. • Examine financial trends, variances, and cost drivers to support business decision-making. • Maintain and update fixed asset schedules, ensuring proper capitalization and accuracy. • Review accounts payable and receivable postings, cash applications, and expense classifications for correctness. • Collaborate with General Managers and Regional Managers to provide actionable insights based on financial data. • Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes and implement improvements. A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Strong proficiency in accounting principles and practices. Experience with accounting software (such as QuickBooks, SAP, or similar platforms). Attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements. Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes. Competency in Excel and other business technology tools. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
