Job Description Job Description CNC Machinist – 2nd & 3rd Shift Position Overview The CNC Machinist plays a key role in producing precision aerospace components using advanced CNC equipment in a high?tech, team?oriented environment. This position requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work effectively within a self-directed, high?performance team. Key Responsibilities Machining aerospace components using advanced CNC machinery while meeting strict quality and performance standards. Reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to ensure all parts meet exact specifications. Setting up and adjusting CNC equipment, including performing tool changes, offsets, and machine adjustments as needed. Conducting in?process inspections using micrometers, calipers, CMMs, and other precision measurement tools. Documenting production and inspection results accurately and consistently. Collaborating in a self-directed/high?performance team environment, supporting continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives. Following all safety protocols and quality standards, including working in a cleanroom or controlled manufacturing environment. Requirements & Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast?paced manufacturing environment. Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, perform shop math, and understand machining methods and cutting tools. Must successfully complete a company-specific mechanical skills assessment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of LADSON, SC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $28.00/hr.
