Position Overview:The VP of Retail will embody the REV culture to lead Retail employees to execute on the four pillars. This position will serve as a strategic leader and personally exemplify REV standards of ethics, professionalism and be able to develop and maintain a professional, positive, dynamic team environment in each are of oversite. There must be 100% commitment to achieving excellence in: member's service experience, accurate/efficient member interaction; attractive, organized and professional branch appearance and a consistent and high level of goal achievement. The VP of Retail will need to be a strategic leader to determine needs while having a vision that considers multi-channel member deliverables.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Assumes responsibility for guiding, coaching, training and monitoring direct reports to achieve and maintain a consistent and high level of performance.:

  • Staff development and coaching/counseling skills, quality of service and branch goal achievement.
  • Create and maintain mutually beneficial and positive relationships that support the entire operations team as well as other support departments and staff.
  • Collaborate with Retail leadership to develop improvement plans, counseling sessions to achieve desired changes. Perform a monthly review of objectives and goals, in performance plans and branch goals.
  • Monitor productivity and staffing levels at each branch and for the region as a whole, for adherence to productivity and efficiency standards.
  • Provide assistance and guidance in achieving lending and sales goals through leveraging opportunities and available resources. Works to create a sales culture of engaged employees.
  • Promote a service standard model for excellent sales and service experience.
  • Foster collaboration and empowerment.
  • Looks for avenues to rollout the "digital first" mindset within the retail space (call center, digital and branch locations) and works with the Talent Development team to create that line of training. Effectively manages personnel, ensuring optimal performance
    • Completes Annual Performance Results Descriptions for each Branch Manager within their region.
    • Conducts quarterly PRD or SMART goal review sessions with each Retail Leader.
    • Makes recommendations to Retail leadership on staff performance. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with credit union personnel and management.
      • Assists and support related departments. Obtains and conveys information as needed.
      • Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant concerns.
      • Attends and participates in meetings and committees as required.
      • Completes reports, records, and other documentation as required.
      • Work closely with budget planning and achievement of the approved budget.
        Assumes responsibility for the role of the facilities function in various credit union projects
        • Collaborate effectively with other credit union leaders to support larger credit union projects.
          Assumes responsibilities for related duties as required or assigned
          Education/Certification & Experience:
          Ideal candidate will have, preferably multi-unit experience.
          • College degree or equivalent work experience.
          • 5-10 years proven history of retail or financial management experience
          • Preferably multi-unit experience.
            • Has comprehensive knowledge of the branch operations and performance and uses this knowledge to ensure that processes are in place to measure and monitor operational and financial effectiveness.
            • Makes day-to-day decisions to support long-term organizational goals.
            • Proactively communicates the company and branch's purpose, business model and the specific behaviors needed for success.
