the American Rheumatology Network (ARN), seek a Chief Executive
Officer (CEO) to head the administration, leadership, business and
strategic operation of AHG in Summerville, South Carolina. This is
a rare opportunity for a strategic healthcare executive to
implement, support, and maintain the mission of Articularis Health

Reporting Relationships: The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) reports
to the AHG Board of Directors, on which the CEO will have an ex
officio seat. The CEO will also have an executive advisory
committee, a cross-representation of AHG physician representatives,
to advise on material operational issues. The CEO will serve as the
chair of this committee.
The Chief Executive Officer is responsible for the successful
clinical, business, financial, and strategic operation, and
performance of AHG and overall management (as delegated by the AHG
Board of Directors and in accordance with its directions and
policies) and performance of AHG. The CEO will provide leadership,
direction,and coordinate all activities of AHG in accordance with
its business and strategic plans in a manner that builds long-term
value and provides a consistent return (ROI) to AHG's stakeholders.
CEO shall work cooperatively with the Chief Physician
Executive/President in fulling his/her role and responsibilities
set forth below.
Essential Functions:
Role and Responsibilities: --- Work with the shareholders and other
executives to establish short-term objectives and long-range goals,
and related plans, that are to be codified in AHG's business and
strategic plans, and policies.--- Lead and provide direction and
coordination of activities necessary to implement, monitor,
recommend modify as necessary, and achieve AHG's business and
strategic plans' stated objectives and implement policies.--- Work
with AHG Board of Directors to facilitate Board governance and
regularly inform the Board on the AHG's performance as compared to
business and strategic plans, setting forth variances and
recommended modifications. Present to the Board trends and issues
with recommendations to facilitate policy formulation that shall be
implemented by the CEO. --- Serve as AHG's executive representative
and primary spokesman, maintaining relationships with regional AHG
practices and clients, health market leaders, participating
insurance carriers, and other strategic community sectors with
varying levels of integration as necessary to achieve the
practice's business and strategic plans. Facilitate similar
participation of other executives, managers, and physicians as
necessary. --- Promote communication and cooperation within the
organization (executive, managerial, staff and providers) to create
a spirit of organizational unity and cohesion, including
facilitation of all-company annual meetings and periodic
shareholder meetings. --- Maintain and modify as required to meet
business and strategic objectives, AHG's organizational structure.
In so doing, be cognizant of operational processes, service
delivery needs, spans of control and other structural
considerations and restrictions, while maintaining an appropriated
staffed clinical and non-clinical workforce, including provider
succession planning.--- Oversee all fiscal activities and retain
accountability for P&L, tax planning and management, recommend
shareholder cash distributions, and lead the practice's financial
performance (delegating appropriate functions to the AHG's Chief
Financial Officer (CFO). Ensure adequate budgeting, funding,
reporting (including dashboard KPIs on a regular cadence) and
auditing on a regular basis. --- Maintain provider compensation
plans. --- Ensure good relations with, participate in, and oversee
negotiation and maintenance of procurement and strategically
important relationships with suppliers, vendors, pharmacies, and
service providers. --- Review on a regular basis, the financial
results of all operations, identifying and responding to variances
with the company's objectives. Maintain a cost effective
appropriately scaled, with attention to future growth, and end user
(provider and staff) reliable and responsive infrastructure of
hardware, networks,
and applications, including related security, support, and
maintenance necessary to support internally and externally provided
services in accordance with business and strategic plans. ---
Recommend new or modifications to existing business lines to the
Board. --- Facilitate the development and implementation of a
marketing and branding campaign consistent with AHG's business and
strategic business plans, including the prospecting and growth of
new providers (employed or serviced). --- Ensure the filing of all
legal and regulatory documents and ensure a program is in place to
monitor compliance with relevant and applicable laws and
regulations.--- Maintain professional affiliations and keep current
in the latest healthcare trends and develop and work with executive
team to do the same. --- Be accessible, visible, and available to
executive team and provider leadership. --- Perform other duties as
may be delegated by or assigned by the Board from time-to-time.
Plan, direct, implement, and evaluate the organization's day-to-day
operations and ensure that all initiatives of the Foundation are
carried out in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Required Professional Qualifications/Experience
The Chief Executive Officer must possess:--- Excellent managerial
and financial skills and the ability to lead AHG. --- Strong
communication and conflict resolution skills, particularly the
ability to communicate as a leader in an emotive manner. ---
Master's degree in Healthcare Administration or Business
(equivalent work experience may be substituted for educational
requirements).--- A minimum ten (10) years' progressively
responsible, executive practice management experience/ with minimum
five (5) years' executive leadership experience overseeing
activities of finance (including payer negotiation and management,
and revenue cycle), provider services/operations, information
systems and technology, human resources, facilities, legal/risk
management and compliance, governance facilitation, marketing, and
development.Personal Characteristics & Competencies - Knowledge,
Skills, and Abilities--- Experienced and skilled in working with a
Board of Directors. --- High level strategic thinking and planning.
Ability to envision and convey the organization's strategic
future.--- High level of professionalism, transparency, and high
integrity leadership. --- Proven experience in measuring
performance and return on investment. --- Demonstrated ability to
oversee and collaborate with internal/external stakeholders.---
Solid organizational abilities, including planning, delegating, and
development. --- Strong financial management skills, including
budget preparation, analysis, decision making, and reportingfor
projects.--- Financial acumen that is one measure of the success to
achieve AHG's business and strategic plans.--- Strong work ethic
with a high degree of energy.--- Embraces frequent change,
