Job Description:

The Assistant Director will assist in the daily operations of the Radiant Academy Child Development Center. They will ensure a safe and educational environment for young children, manage teaching staff, develop curricula in coordination with teachers, communicate with parents, and uphold the center's reputation.We are looking to hire a qualified Child Development Assistant Director to manage our day-to-day operations and establish a positive learning environment for children. Responsibilities include overseeing education programs that comply with local and federal regulations, maintaining facilities, supporting daycare staff, and managing the center's financial affairs.The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience managing all aspects of a Child Development Center and possess strong leadership skills. A friendly demeanor, knowledge of childcare facility requirements, a love for children, and a commitment to creating a supportive environment are essential. Early childhood development experience is a plus.Role Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe, happy, and stimulating environment for children.
  • Manage and coordinate curricula with staff that comply with state and federal requirements.
  • Ensure safety and regulatory compliance of center facilities.
  • Evaluate and purchase materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Support and manage teaching staff, promoting their professional development.
  • Interview, hire, and train new staff, ensuring policy and legal compliance.
  • Complete ongoing training to stay current on daycare standards and procedures.
  • Communicate with parents regarding their children and center policies.
  • Oversee the budget and financial accounts to ensure profitability.
  • Develop and execute marketing and communication plans.Requirements:
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experience in early childhood education preferred.
  • Licensure required; the center accepts ABC vouchers.
  • Compliance with local, state, and federal child care laws.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor.
