qualified PICU RN in Charleston, South Carolina, 29425! Pay
Information $2,009 per week About The Position PICU Registered
Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Pediatric Intensive
Care Unit Duration: 12 Weeks Shift: 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift:
07:00 - 19:30 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of PICU experience
License: State RN license required Certifications: BLS, PALS (must
be from American Heart Association) Must-Have: Must have experience
in ECMO and CRRT. Description: The Pediatric Intensive Care unit is
a 28-bed unit providing intensive and intermediate care to children
ages 0-18. The unit cares for patients with a blend of medical and
surgical diagnoses. Common diagnoses include respiratory
compromise, trauma, post-operative surgical patients requiring
immediate intensive care support, and neurology/neurosurgery. In
addition to ventilatory and cardiac support, the unit provides ECMO
and CRRT, renal or peritoneal dialysis, and additional complex
supportive therapies. Pediatric Palliative care is available as
needed. The staffing mix includes Registered Nurses, Patient Care
Technicians, and Unit Secretaries. Therapeutic supportive services
such as Respiratory Therapy, Pediatric Dietitians, and Pediatric
Pharmacists are available as needed. This is a Level I Trauma
Center and Teaching Facility. The total number of staffed beds is
820. The unit uses electronic charting. All employees and
contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams during
hurricane season, which runs from June through November.
