Approval based off unit needsGuaranteed Hours: traveler may be cancelled one shift/2 weeks*this unit does not accept travel pairs Gold Beacon Award-winning unitvoted 4 in US News report and 1 in the nation for outcomes*Pediatric Cardiology Intensive Care unit is a 29 bed Beacon Award-Winning unit and is the referral center for all major pediatric cardiac surgery in South Carolina. Average Daily Census on the unit is 26 with a blend of cardiac surgical and medical diagnoses. The PCICU cares for patients with congenital heart disease of any age based on care needs. Common procedures associated with this unit's care include cardiac surgery, Ventricular Assist Devices, Heart Transplant, cardiac catheterization, and all medical diagnoses associated with cardiac care for the children in South Carolina. In addition to ventilatory and cardiac support, the unit provides ECMO/CRRT and additional complex supportive therapies . Pediatric palliative care is available as needed The staffing mix includes Registered Nurses, Patient Care Technicians, and Unit Secretaries with ancillary supportive services such as Respiratory Therapy, Pediatric Dietitians, and Pediatric Pharmacist available as needed. All PCICU beds are monitored beds.Hospital HighlightsType of Facility: Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Facility, Magnet HospitalTotal Staffed Beds: 820Charting: EPICParking Cost: Parking management office (located 91presidents street) to obtain parking permit. $20 registration fee for a hang tag which will allow use of the garage. No additional fees. Hang tag will not cover parking in any other locations. If parking outside of the 91 Street Parking Garage, additional fees may be incurred. We will still consider candidates with a pending license at the time of submission please provide proof that they have applied for the license or confirm that they can complete the SC walk-through process. Traveler will not be cleared to report to the facility until SC license is issued/active.RTO GUIDELINE FOR AUTO OFFERS: If a candidate is a clinical PASS, the account manager can auto offer a traveler that has 7 days or less of NON-HOLIDAY RTO.
