Registered Nurse (RN) | Operating Room Location: Charleston, SC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,811 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 12 Weeks Start Date: 2/2/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Must have cardiac, vascular, and hybrid experiences License: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state or holds a current compact/multi-state license as a Registered Nurse in a recognized compact state. Certifications: Must have a current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card. Must-Have: Ability to scrub and circulate. Description: Provide nursing care for patients following established standards and practices in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. Apply professional nursing theory and practice to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Ensure constant interaction with internal and external customers including patients, families, physicians, employees, and visitors. Perform patient assessments reflecting physical, psychological, socio-cultural, spiritual, cognitive needs, and functional abilities through systematic collection and review of patient-specific data. Plan and prioritize care based on the assessment, evaluate patient progress, and revise care to attain expected outcomes. Involve patient/family in planning care and evaluating programs and outcomes. Demonstrate clinical competencies in specific area of practice as described in departmental performance standards. Assess patient and family learning needs, plan and provide education involving other disciplines as needed, and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching in achieving desired outcomes. Identify and respond appropriately to ethical issues in patient care. Provide nursing care in a non-judgmental manner that respects patient diversity and acknowledges patient rights. Act as a patient advocate. Initiate collaborative dialogue with physicians and coordinate multidisciplinary activities to plan, deliver, and evaluate patient care. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, core measures, patient safety, and quality initiatives to achieve optimal clinical and organizational outcomes. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required. Demonstrate knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice to provide and evaluate patient care. Understand organizational policies and procedures for administering patient care. Recognize common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment. Exhibit skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions. Prepare and maintain records and write reports. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public. Analyze situations and apply critical thinking. Communicate clearly and react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Maintain frequent standing, walking, bending, crouching, and stooping. Lift or move patients and carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. Utilize finger and hand dexterity. Reach with hands and arms frequently. Communicate through talking or hearing regularly. Work under stressful conditions, deadlines, or irregular hours as needed. May be required to take call and/or work weekends or holidays based on the needs of the department.
