Registered Nurse (RN) | Operating Room Location: Charleston, SC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,059 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/23/2026 About the Position Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 1 year in applicable specialties License: SC or Compact License Certifications: BLS, radiation badge provided by parent company Must-Have: Experience in Ophthalmology, Ortho, ENT, GYN, GU, Endocrine, Surgical Oncology, Plastics, Robotics, Total Joints Description: Position available for an Ambulatory Operating Room Registered Nurse. The shift is four days a week from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Scheduled days off will be determined based on department needs, but special requests will be considered. Scheduled late shifts will occur a few times each month. There is no on-call requirement for this position. Floating within the perioperative facility may be possible based on needs. Candidates must hold a SC or compact license and BLS certification. A radiation badge will need to be obtained from the parent company. Experience is required in various specialties such as Orthopedics, Interventional Radiology, and GI procedures. Candidates should be well-rounded in specialties that align with the caseload. First-time travelers are not accepted for this position. Local candidates are accepted within a 60-mile radius. All requested time off must be included at the time of submission. The facility may call off hours based on needs. The unit currently comprises a team of Registered Nurses and support staff with a patient capacity of 20 in the pre/post areas and two operating rooms. Responsibilities include patient prep before surgery, vital sign monitoring, medication administration, and patient recovery post-anesthesia. The facility provides a variety of surgical services focused primarily on orthopedic procedures. Special procedures performed in the unit include total joint replacements and arthroscopic surgeries. Equipment used in the operating room includes standard OR equipment, as well as orthopedic-specific tools and positioning aides. Candidates must be proficient with major skills relevant to orthopedics and have scrub capability. The facility has a fast-paced environment requiring collaboration with various medical staff to ensure high-quality patient care. Please be aware that during hurricane season, all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams as needed.
