Registered Nurse (RN) | Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Location: Charleston, SC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,837 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/23/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years of PICU experience required License: State or Multi-State/Compact RN license required Certifications: BLS, PALS (American Heart Association accepted) Must-Have: 1. Minimum of 2 years of PICU experience 2. Ability to work 3x12 hour night shifts, including potential holiday and weekend shifts 3. Open to first-time travelers Description: The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit cares for children ages 0-18 with various medical and surgical diagnoses. Patients include those with respiratory compromise, trauma, post-operative surgical needs, and neurology/neurosurgery requirements. Common procedures involve ventilatory and cardiac support, ECMO, CRRT, renal or peritoneal dialysis, and complex therapies. Staffing includes Registered Nurses, Patient Care Technicians, and Unit Secretaries, with support from Respiratory Therapy, Pediatric Dietitians, and Pharmacists as needed. The unit operates as a mixed unit with varying patient ratios, typically between 1:1 to 1:3. The unit is a Level I Trauma Center and a teaching facility with 28 beds. All RTO must be submitted at the time of application. Candidates should be prepared to cover up to 5 weekend shifts per schedule. This position involves floating within the scope to meet facility needs. Previous charge experience is preferred, as is experience with ECMO and CRRT. The unit supports pediatric palliative care as necessary. The facility follows a no-call policy for this position.
