ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Charleston, South Carolina. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Observation Unit Job Details: • Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Monday through Thursday • No Friday shifts required (unit closed on Fridays) • No weekend or holiday requirements • No on-call responsibilities • Patient ratio of 1:6 maximum, 1:3 expected • 2 years of nursing experience required • First-time travelers accepted • South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license required • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS • May float to another observation unit or work days if needed, or be called off for low census • Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks • Work in a six-bay 23-hour observation unit inside a surgery center PACU • Staffing model includes two RNs and one PCT, with possibility of one RN and one PCT some nights • Care for patients from orthopedics, interventional radiology, and gastroenterology services • Skills include ambulatory/outpatient care, pre/post operative care, phlebotomy, IV management, airway assessment, conscious sedation, and medication reconciliation • Work closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and OR nurses in fast-paced environment • Building security present overnight Facility: This healthcare organization operates a specialized surgical short stay and observation unit within a comprehensive surgery center and clinic setting.
