qualifications will not be considered. This opportunity is ideal
for a skilled Operating Room Technician ready to contribute
expertise in a dynamic surgical environment. The role is based in
Georgetown, TX, supporting a leading pediatric healthcare provider.
This contract position offers weekday shifts with specific evening
and mid-day hours designed to fit a focused schedule.
Responsibilities: Prepare and assist in setting up the operating
room tailored to the patient's age and surgical procedure,
demonstrating knowledge of surgical pathology and allergy risks,
including latex sensitivity. Anticipate surgeon needs by
efficiently managing supplies and equipment such as implants,
prostheses, and instrumentation, ensuring cost-effective practices.
Collaborate with circulating nurses and utilize preference cards to
optimize readiness and decision-making regarding surgical setup.
Maintain strict adherence to the counting protocol for sponges,
needles, and instruments throughout procedures. Assist accurately
in the care and labeling of surgical specimens. Participate in
ongoing education and in-service training to uphold professional
standards. Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years experience as an
Operating Room Technician. Proficient with sterilization systems
including steam, EO, and low-temperature methods. Skilled in the
operation of washer/disinfectors, ultrasonic cleaners, and
biological and chemical indicator testing. Detail-oriented with
strong knowledge of surgical suite protocols and safety procedures.
Schedule: Monday to Friday Two shifts available: 11:30 AM to 7:00
PM 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM Georgetown, TX offers a family-friendly
