How you will make an impact

- Ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines

- Resolve payroll discrepancies via information collection and analysis

- Manage and review, including verify, source documents

- Handle all payroll information questions and requests

- Handle payroll record updates by keeping changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers

- Manage issues related to employee deductions and other liabilities, including reconciling

- Handle other duties as necessary

- Ensure employee confidence by protecting payroll operations and confidential information

- Help payroll manage all internal and external audits

- Report needed changes after maintaining payroll operations according to established policies and procedures

- Draft relevant year-end reports, as well as weekly, monthly, and quarterly ones, for department heads

- Managing payroll information by keeping proper records for collecting, calculating, and entering data

- Preparing reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages

- Establish payroll liabilities after calculating all employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer social security, unemployment, and worker compensation payments Requirements - Certified Payroll Professional designation preferred

- Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data

- Critical thinking skills and the ability to retain complex work directions

- Relevant experience of 2+ years in payroll

- Knowledge of internal controls

- Command of Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills

- Experience with high volume multi-state payroll, billing, licensing, AP, etc.

- Knowledgeable of basic accounting principles and solid financial acumen

- Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations and requirements

- General familiarity with Human Resources (HR) Administration

- Proficiency in Paychex Payroll

- Payroll experience preferred

- Payroll Functions experience highly desired

- Quality experience with new employee orientation

- Comprehensive knowledge of Full Cycle Payroll

- Well-founded grasp of ADP Financial Services

- Practical knowledge of employee relations

- Proven knowledge of Paychex

- Knowledge of Multi-state Payroll

- Prior experience using accounting software
