KION Mobile Automation, Global Service is responsible for the after sales & service in the field of mobile automation. This includes providing training to our KION Operating Unit on our mobile automation robots. The trainer is responsible to provide technical training to our KION Operating Units trainers following the train-the-trainer principle. Create training material using information from relevant engineering departments, as well as processing and preparing content for online and onsite training. Involvement in service tasks 'out in the field' are part of the role to ensure familiarity with the subject matter and relatability to the target audiences.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $65,000-140,00 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

The Service Trainer is responsible to provide service-relevant, technical training for selected automation products and solutions to KION brand trainers, following the train-the-trainer principle. This includes the acquisition of information from relevant stakeholders, as well as the processing and preparation of content for online and onsite training. The training material will be created and provided, using standardized KION training tools.

The training content includes AGV service procedures, automated components, troubleshooting, software &hardware information, safety, and functional descriptions, among other elements. Involvement in service tasks 'out in the field' is part of the role to ensure familiarity with the subject matter and relatability to the target audiences.

The role of the Service Trainer further entails active engagement in content, tools, and process change management. Support to ensure high-quality teachings (content) is part of this role and requires close collaboration with selected technical documentation stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Creating content for Automated Guided Forklifts (AGFs) and Automated Guide Vehicles (AGVs) for training materials
  • Training execution based on the train-the-trainer approach
  • Tracking of relevant data in line with training processes including the collection of feedback and constant improvement of trainings given
  • Training is given to be within scope and safety regulatory requirements
  • Gathering information from relevant stakeholders to develop, organize and provide content internally in line with quality and style standards prevalent within the KION Group
  • Close collaboration with other trainers and stakeholders from specific departments to maintain a shared way of working
  • Active engagement in the process and content improvement within a fast-growing and changing environment

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field
    • Experienced with providing training and creating digital training materials
    • Comfortable with several engineering disciplines like software, electrical and mechanical systems
    • Open-minded to using digital tools for training (no PowerPoint approach!)
    • Self-starter taking initiative (incl. driving change management)
    • "People person", is the ability to connect with the specific target audience
    • Good communication and collaboration skills

      Preferred Qualifications:
      • Additional languages skills
      • International experience & cultural sensitivity
      • Familiarity with any (or multiple) of the following tools:
        • Articulate
        • Confluence
        • Jira
        • Teams / SharePoint

          • Up to 50% (potentially)
