We arecurrently looking for an ambitious Mother Baby RN to help us reach our goals.Unlock your potential here!The Pediatric RegisteredNurse is a clinically competent practitioner of pediatric, family-centerednursing services providing safe and effective care to the pediatric population.The Pediatric RN is responsible for assessing, evaluating, planning, implementing,and coordinating a treatment plan and achieving the goals of the nursingdepartment. What you will doin this role:* You will workcollaboratively with the clinical medical provider, to empower children andtheir families to make informed decisions regarding their health care,including health promotion and prevention of disease or complications * You will provideeducation to the patient and/or parent/guardian in a manner that the recipientunderstands in order to contribute to positive patient care outcome and patientsatisfaction* You will maintainand review patients' records including posting tests and examination results* You willadminister medications in accordance with physician orders * You will checkrooms daily for necessary supplies* You will respondto and refer incoming telephone calls (may include phone triage when needed)Qualifications * Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher is required* Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license* A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required* NRP-Neonatal Resuscitation Provider-within 90 Days of employment* A currentAmerican Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Pediatric Advanced LifeSupport (PALS) Health Care Provider is preferred and required to be obtainedwithin 6 months of hire/transfer date* Prior acute careRegistered Nurse experience with pediatric patients preferred* NRP-Neonatal Resuscitation Provider-within 90Days of employment* Specialty Certification highly preferred within 3 years ofhire.* Prior acute careRegistered Nurse experience with pediatric patients preferredPRN Shift:* Mustschedule 24-weekend hours, plus 72 additional hours, for a total of ninety-six(96) hours per four-week schedule.* Mustschedule at least one winter and one summer holidaySummerville Medical Center is a 120+ bed hospital with a24-hour emergency room and comprehensive medical services.
