Description:The electrical engineer will support customer option requests and support production issues. He/she will research, develop, design, and test electrical components, wire harnesses, equipment, and systems of material handling equipment. The electrical engineer will also be required to have knowledge of control system software for mobile equipment.Design and troubleshoot wiring harnesses and power cabling, including completion of drawings & engineering change documentationSelection and specification of motors/controls and other electrical componentsWork with various support departments, including Manufacturing, Quality, and Product SupportInterface with customers, suppliers and designers of electrical controls and components Coordinate work with manufacturing and/or vendors on product problems, quality issues and product improvementMaintenance of product operating softwareCoordinate prototyping & testing of product modificationsVerify control system software and system functionality through analysis and testing to ensure compliance with intended design and operation.Interface with 3rd party software developers to troubleshoot and verify software solutions in mobile equipment systems.Additional Skills & Qualifications:Qualifications:Two (2)+ year's industry experience, direct or internship, in automobile/machine on wheels industry Knowledge of electrical engineering principles, concepts, practices and theoriesKnowledge and design of electrical schematicsExperience designing with CAD (2D & 3D), preferably Unigraphics and/or E3Knowledge or experience with vehicle communication protocols. Industry experience with lift truck CAN bus systems - specifically CAN Open and/or SAE J1939 preferredBasic knowledge of functional safety standards and applicationMust possess excellent communication skillsPossess intercultural awareness. Must be able to work with multinational colleagues across a wide range of culturesExperience in mechanical design a plusEducation:BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology, or other technical degree with relevant experience About Aerotek:We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
