Description:We are looking for an experienced Logistics Engineer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will have expert knowledge of Warehousing and Distribution, ERP and MRP systems, Material Flow, Bills of Materials, Cycle Counting, Inventory Control, & Warehouse Management Systems. Possesses strong computer skills with SAP and all MS office products.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Suggest and implement changes to documented work processes to increase efficiency of the logistics department, assembly operations or contribute to improved qualityAnalyze problems and resolve or assist in solving problemsReview and design logistics operations to improve companies' operational efficiency and reduce costs.Provide logistics technology or information for effective and efficient support of product, equipment, or system manufacturing or service.Develop specifications for equipment, tools, facility layouts, or material-handling systems.Prepare logistic strategies or conceptual designs for production facilities.Evaluate the use of inventory tracking technology, Web-based warehousing software, to maximize plant or distribution center efficiency.Identify WMS solutions and deploy throughout operations.Setup new warehouse in SAP and new WMS system.Champion PFEP development program and implementation.Develop packaging standards and methodologies.Instrumental in streamlining World- Class warehouse facility and processesAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field (industrial engineering, supply chain, mechanical engineering, business)+4 years of logistics engineering experience Experience with a complex product with lots of variances (extensive material supply chain)Experience with plant layout and CAD software Proficient in SAP, with experience in all aspects of MRP.Effective skills in organization, leadership, problem resolution, & time management.Strong analytical skillsExperience in advanced automation and systemsAdvanced CAD user About Aerotek:We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
