Machine Operator, $17.50/hr, 2nd Shift - Summerville- Training on 1st shift**

Entry Level CNC Programmer experience will set you up well for this position!

Workbox Staffing is hiring a Machine Operator in Summerville. 

The Machine Operator may operate one or more variety of machines to include breakdowns, singles, intermediates, furnace, tandem, peeler, cleaning line, re-spooling, etc.

Qualifications:

• Setting up equipment according to work order traveler (WOT)
• Input data into MES computer system
• Input machine issues into Machine Diary.
• Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, working with maintenance.
• Verify the correct die, lubricant and cutters are set up for the job performing
• Prepare salt/chalk bath including check temperature and concentration (as applicable)
• Set up and maintain Eddy Current where required
• Achieve desired cast and helix per WOT
• Perform quality checks
• Properly label finished material
• Provide samples to Quality for testing
• Maintain expected production speed based on the WOT
• Troubleshoot process problems
• Follow protocol based on Quality Management Systems.
• Support, develop and implement continuous improvement process and ideas.
• Operate forklift if identified as an authorized user.
• Other duties as required.

Skills:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing facility.
• Ability to read and write clearly
• Mechanical aptitude a plus.
• Forklift license required for some machines.
• Ability to use and read micrometers and other measuring devices.
• Knowledge or aptitude with hand tools.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Able to qualify at 85% knowledge of operating on one or more machines within 90 days.
