clients. -We are seeking Shipping Supervisor, responsible for
outbound operations.This will include maintaining benchmark levels
of safety, efficiency, quality, productivity, continuous
improvement within the your team and assisting with the hiring and
development -hourly associates.
This leader will be hands-on in a start-up department -and will
build and maintain relationships with hourly associates, managers,
-and various departments in the company. This person will be
someone who likes change and enjoys getting into the details to
drive improvements every single day.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Determine work volume, prepare work schedules, and expedite
workflow to ensure maximum cost effectiveness within the
department.
- Assign duties and examine work for quality, neatness, and
conformity to policies and procedures.
- Schedule job assignments for periodic and/or special
inventories.
- Monitor, direct, and (when necessary), perform, the accurate
shipping of outbound orders.
- Issue written and oral instructions to associates as needed or
required.
- Ensure associate accountability in accordance with corporate
standard operating procedures.
- Manage employee time including edits and corrections
- Mentor and coach associates, including corrective actions as
well as performance evaluations.
- Develop and administer operational procedures for perfectly
executing activities outgoing shipments, handling and disposition
of products, and keeping the highest standards of inventory
accuracyDevelop and maintain a safe work environmentAbility to
reward and recognize performance and execute on progressive
discipline as neededMentor, train and develop teammates for career
progression and learningAbility to develop and share best practices
across the shifts and networkCreate a positive team dynamic that
encourages all employees to adapt to the ever-changing business,

and expanding capabilities within the warehouseUtilize the site
Warehouse Management System (WMS) to optimize perfect order
fulfillment and provide operational insights to improve WMS
effectiveness -QUALIFICATIONS
B.S. or B.A. degree or equivalent
additional experience or - 4+ years of experience in fulfillment
center/warehouse operations; prefer retail/e-commerce and apparel
experienceProven ability to effectively motivate, develop, and
manage 10+ employees. Our culture is a critical part of our
success, and you need to help drive it.At least 2 -years of
leadership -experience in Inventory Control, and/or Order
FulfillmentExperience with building or improving inventory
management, order management, and warehouse management systems and
processesExperience with Manhattan WMS and SAP -preferredExcitement
for working in a start-up environment with high level of ambiguity
and changeStrong project management and continuous improvement
skillsMetrics driven mindsetCustomer service experience -Effective
communicator and leader for employees, direct reports,
cross-functional teams and executive leadershipProven ability to
quickly adapt and drive the right results using dataProficient in
all MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and
internetHighest levels of integrity and ethics -Physical/Visual
Activities or Demands: Physical/visual activities or demands that
are commonly associated with the performance of the functions of
this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is
regularly required to sit, talk, hear, walk, and lift packages up
