clients. -POSITION SUMMARY: - - - -Utilizing his/her knowledge of
supply chain, distribution, operations and inventory control, the
Inventory Supervisor will ensure our inventory is managed in a way
to support and allow the operation to perform its day to day tasks
without running into any hurdles while minimizing
shrinkage.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
- Supervises -the Inventory Control Team to deliver the highest
quality service to Operations while maintaining inventory accuracy
above 99.0% in all stocking locations
- Support - the Warehouse cycle counting, location auditing,
inventory control practices & procedures to maintain accuracy and
assure compliance with audit requirements
- Responsible for assisting with supervision of the day-to-day
operations of DC support functions, including but not limited to;
inventory control, space management, logistics, replenishments,
returns, obsolescence and customer service
- Identify and determine root causes of inventory deviation
through cause and effect analysis using continuous improvement
methodologies
- Review, analyze and develop action plans for reducing customer
return defects based on data captured and reported by the team
- Facilitate and/or lead various teams and initiatives in the
improvement of DC support and core operational processes to create
and promote an environment where employees are involved, empowered
and committed to the success of the DC
- Responsible for tracking, researching, reporting & completing
the monthly not in location (NIL) write off
- Responsible for training, documentation and implementation of
best practices with respect to inventory control
- Resolve inventory issues / discrepancies, problem orders and
intercompany transfer issues
- Ensure orders are correct and fully completed and that all
stock has been allocated to the order correctly
- Produce daily reports to ensure key critical areas of the stock
system are controlled and any discrepancies addressed and
resolved
- Ensure compliance with company policies/procedures, including
but not limited to inventory control and OSHA
- Responsible for the day to day scheduling, staffing, work
assignments, tools, and materials for the team
- Responsible for the department's physical assets (equipment, RF
units, inventory, conveyors, etc.) are properly controlled,
protected, and utilized
- Sets up and/or changes the stock keeping unit (SKU) in the
strategic pick location - -Marginal Functions: - -Physical/Visual
Activities or Demands: Physical/visual activities or demands that
are commonly associated with the performance of the functions of
this job. -While performing the duties of this job, the employee is
regularly required to sit, talk, hear, walk, lift packages.
-POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS -Education/Experience:
Associates Degree (Business related
field preferred)2 Years minimum in a distribution center or
fulfilment center leadership centric role (4 Years in lieu of
degree) -Skills and Abilities which may be representative but not
all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks at different levels of
completion
- Good judgment and decision making skills
- Must be able to meet deadlines
- Must be able to handle detailed and confidential information
