Innovative focuses primarily on residential electrical contracting for new construction projects.Innovative Electric is the sister company to Innovative Sight & Sound, the premier Charleston home technology integrator offering custom home theaters, home automation systems, and security systems.Innovative Electric is seeking a Generator Maintenance Technician to add to its team. This technician will be installing and servicing backup power generators for homes.

• Install conduits and wiring
• Install generators and transfer switches
• Run small crew to complete install projects timely
• Generator Technicians perform a variety of tasks in the inspection, repair, and preventive and corrective maintenance
• Install GENERAC home standby generators and transfer switches
• Install conduits and wiring
• Install electrical panels and circuits
• Troubleshoot electrical problems and repair
• Work with other electricians and apprentices to complete install projects efficiently
  • Direct experience working in the industry with proven experience as an electrician
  • Construction experience or general mechanical aptitude is helpful.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints/ floor plans and markups
  • Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools such as power drills, wire strippers, voltmeters, etc.
  • Thorough knowledge of safety procedures legal regulations and guidelines
  • Experience on construction sites and knowledge of best practices on job sites
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
