Job Description Summary A Research Specialist III is needed for proteomic biomarker studies. Studies will require data visualization using Python, integration of spatial data sets, graph-based modeling of spatial neighborhood networks, develop machine learning models derived from molecular pathology, and contribute to integrating imaging data with proteomic data. Research Grant Cost Center CC001034 COM PHARM Operations CC Pay Rate Type Salary Pay Grade University-06 Pay Range 47,588.00 - 67,817.00 - 88,047.000 Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Work Shift Job Description Job Duties: 25% Work with collaboratory teams to investigate spatial biology using advanced statistical modeling for regional to cellular analysis incorporating mass spectrometry imaging modalities. Develop and validate machine learning algorithms from complex molecular signatures. Individual will be capable of reaching milestone achievements. 25% Data reporting. Individual will collaborate with multiple labs and commercial labs for image data integration, processing, and modeling. Individual will be familiar with verification and validation procedures to ensure appropriate modeling. 10% Analyze large datasets for patterns, trends and relationships 10% Communicate findings to collaboratory teams through presentations 10% Training students or visiting scholars in use of data visualization analysis. 10% Maintain equipment. 10% Keeping the lab safe, clean and compliant by following PPE and MUSC guidelines for safety in the laboratory. MUSC Minimum qualifications: A bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or other natural, life or health care science directly related to the assigned area of research and two years advanced journel-level work experience in a clinical or research setting. Additional Knowledge, Skill and Ability Experience in one or more of the following desired: Microscopy, high throughput cell assays, westerns, qRT-PCR, cell culture, proteomics, mass spectrometry.
