Job Description:
At HCA Healthcare, we are looking for a dedicated RN for our
Surgical Stepdown Unit to provide exceptional patient-centered care
in a dynamic team environment. This role involves a careful blend
of medical skills and compassionate care, working close to the
hearts of patients recovering from surgical procedures. Our
Surgical Stepdown Unit specializes in transitioning patients from
intensive surgery to regular units, ensuring they receive intensive
monitoring and highly skilled nursing care. Provide comprehensive
nursing care to post-surgical patients in a stepdown unit setting.
Monitor vital signs and detect any signs of distress or
complications. Administer medications, manage pain, and assist in
patient mobilization. Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, and
other healthcare professionals to plan and evaluate patient care
plans. Educate patients and their families on post-operative care
and health management. Document patient care services and maintain
accurate medical records. Strong clinical skills with a focus on
surgical recovery Competence in using hospital information systems
and patient monitoring technology Excellent interpersonal and
communication skills Ability to work under pressure and in shift
patterns Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life
Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license Basic Life
Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
(ACLS) Certification preferred
